About Data: The University of Buea, Cameroon, and the World Wide Fund for Nature, Cameroon Program, in partnership with the Forest Global Earth Observatory of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (ForestGEO) seek to promote long-term scientific research towards the conservation of biological diversity in Cameroon. These institutions oversee and support the continued monitoring of a 50-ha Forest Dynamics Plot in Korup National Park, Southwestern Cameroon.
Our goal is to make the Korup 50-hectare Forest Dynamics Plot data available to researchers and students that can utilize these data to address a wide range of scientific and management questions. However, maintaining the Korup plot requires enormous field effort and an ongoing financial commitment by several parties. We therefore require that the Principal Investigators of the Korup Plot be considered collaborators on any project making use of the data and be included as co-authors on any articles or presentations, unless they explicitly state otherwise.
